Multiple Accidents in Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires, November 23 (NA) -- The City of Buenos Aires began Sunday with multiple traffic accidents, a recurring situation every weekend.

The most serious incident occurred in Villa del Park around 1:30 AM at the intersection of Llavallol and Álvarez Jonte Avenue, where the collision between two cars resulted in one of them overturning and several people injured. In the car that was overturned after the impact, there were "four men between 18 and 20 years old," and the other vehicle was driven by "a 60-year-old man."

Although the young men suffered "minor trauma" according to sources from the Buenos Aires Fire Department to the Argentine News Agency, all those involved "refused to be transferred for medical attention" after being assisted by "three ambulances and one triage unit" from the SAME (Emergency Medical Care System).

In Caballito, meanwhile, a traffic incident at the intersection of Alberdi at 1600 and Curapaligüe left "three vehicles affected and the obstruction of a building exit." The incident involved a Peugeot Partner whose driver "lost control on the left-hand side of the avenue and collided with two parked cars": a Chevrolet Spark and a Peugeot 306.

Although no injuries were reported, the crash displaced one of the parked cars, which "ended up blocking the main entrance of a residential building in the area."

The third accident occurred in San Telmo, where a Ford Ranger XL pickup truck "collided with two parked vehicles" on Juan de Garay Avenue and Bolívar. The investigation of the incident was handled by the Police of Commune 11 and the Scientific Police.

The episode occurred at 06:56, when the driver of the pickup truck, accompanied by a woman and two minors, lost control of the vehicle after explaining that "he had fallen asleep at the wheel just before the impact." SAME attended to the occupants of the pickup truck, determining that "all presented normal clinical signs."
